WHEN LIBIDOS RUMINATE: Looking back in arousal…

My new ebook is out on Amazon now. Entitled THE GREAT FEMDOM WHAT-IF, it contains three adults-only short stories about a man who, over the years from the 1970s up to the 1990s, encountered sexual situations in his life that could have lent themselves to some kinky roleplay, but which never happened except in his vivid imagination.

The cover model is like the lady in the last story, a computer instructor at a publishing company who grows impatient with our hero because of his obvious befuddlement over her attractiveness and especially over her shapely behind in a skirt.

Don’t most of us have “what-ifs” in our lives? Sexual or otherwise? That’s the emotion this book is about: wistful regret. The mind and libido ruminate on what might have been…we see what actually happened, and then we see what our hero wishes had happened.

Just click over to Amazon to read the plot descriptions here.

Yet the stories are not heavy or depressing, but instead erotic and arousing with scenarios that almost seem like they did take place.

Try it, and if you like THE GREAT FEMDOM WHAT-IF, you’ll want to read more of my stories like SPOILT PRINCESS GRACE MEETS BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE or CUCKOLD TEASED, GODDESS PLEASED. I have 32 titles in my Erotic Library so far.

All are available now at Amazon stores worldwide. A handy link to my entire U.S. Kindle store is here

Enjoy!

When sunlight looks like feathers…

Window blinds cast this pattern on a dusty futon couch…

Above is the original, and below a black-and-white version. Do you have a preference?

Just feeling in an abstract mood when I snapped it…

An eyelash must have fallen onto the lens of my smartphone. Oh well. I like the patterns, so…

A temporary break from my usual thoughts of dominant women and the men (like me) who love them.

Sometimes it’s hard for me to remember I actually do think about other things! 😉

Quite a few other things, in fact. And here are New York City stories that reflect this.

Notorious Blackbeard Worships the Boots of The Irresistible Irish Pirate Queen!

Well, my new erotica ebook is published and available on Amazon now, the 18th century tale I’ve talked about on this blog over the last couple of months, and here is the cover: a new painting by the great British artist of femdom erotica, Sardax!

The main character of an 18th century lady pirate is inspired by a contemporary, real-life Irish dominatrix, Spoilt Princess Grace (you can visit her site here) whom I’ve gotten to know online through the social media writing I do for the website DommeAddiction here. She specializes in both making video clips as well as doing real-time sessions. A really delightful, creative gal, who can get very kinky in her videos (check them out here and here) but a very classy lady as well. If the mid-20th century actress Deborah Kerr had become a domme instead of a great movie star, I think she would have been something like Grace. I am very happy to be able to consider the real Spoilt Princess Grace a friend. And to create in my 87-page novella a fictional character who embodies the same kind of allure, charisma, intelligence and taste for kink that I see in the modern Grace (the image of her below is from one of her recent videos).

Sardax, with whom I collaborated recently on Tamara, Eternal Dominatrix, which happily hit the Amazon erotica bestseller lists in Europe, had gotten a commission to make a painting of Grace as a pirate, and he asked if I would want to use it also as a cover for a story. Since I’d wanted to pen a pirate tale for a long time, I jumped at the opportunity. Over the years I’ve collected a number of books and magazines for research with such a project in mind.

Of course pirate erotica is not a new thing, so I wanted to come up with an angle to make this story a little different. First I decided to have the 18th century Spoilt Princess Grace meet the most famous buccaneer of the era, Edward Teach aka Blackbeard, partly because it seemed like a good idea for a momentous meeting, but also because Blackbeard is such a recognizable name all over the world that I thought it might help with the algorithms and keywords to promote the book on Amazon and online! We writers must be practical as well as artistic! 😉

Then, when doing preliminary historical research to give the tale some authenticity, I found out from a book called She-Captains by Joan Druett that Blackbeard had some curious eccentricities when it came to the women he met. This fearsome brigand of the seas–who among his accomplishments once blockaded Charleston, South Carolina (then Charles Town)– liked to wait on the serving girls in taverns and public houses, instead of having those comely lasses wait on him. Afterward he’d take the ones who most caught his fancy back to his ship for what were essentially what we would today call sexual “roleplay”: faux weddings and faux honeymoon nights. I thought this was a perfect angle to use in a femdom pirate story, because instead of seducing the lady pirate, the Blackbeard in my tale would find himself becoming her sexual submissive.

This turned into my longest erotic ebook to date; only my psychological suspense novel Fate of a Stripper is longer, at 249 pages (also available at AmazonKindle here ). This new book is longer primarily because I wanted to first show Grace’s effect on other men and people in general to establish her powerful aura of confidence and charisma before she finally met up with the notorious Blackbeard. It also gave me the opportunity to write scenes of ass worship, cuckoldry, voyeurism, boot worship, playful flogging, spanking, small penis humiliation, and even swordplay (with actual cutlasses) before Grace met the pirate king! I found myself carried away for three months in the fictitious world of “Lamarr Island” in 1718 where pirates ruled, poets got drunk and wrote couplets of horny admiration, and where Princess Grace was taking a brief rest from her daring adventures raiding merchant vessels of their silks and satins (which her personal seamstress Mrs. Thelma Battles turned into gowns for her more elegant hours–hence her name Spoilt Princess Grace).

I think you can sense it is a complex story, sexy and full of humor and the delightfully vivid language I imagined for the denizens of the 18th century, as well as the aforementioned poetry too (one of the characters is a scribbler who writes stanzas about the Princess when he’s not ogling her “nether globes” in her tight pants). So, depending on how fast or slow you read, my new novella Spoilt Princess Grace Meets Blackbeard the Pirate should give you about 90 minutes of entertainment, just the length of one of the fun Saturday matinee pirate films from Hollywood’s golden era…several of which I watched to get myself into the maritime action mood before I started writing. Treasure Island with Charlton Heston…The Sea Hawk (the early silent version with Milton Sills)…The Black Swan with Tyrone Power and Maureen O’Hara…Blackbeard the Pirate with Robert Newton and Linda Darnell…The Pirates of Capri with Louis Hayward…and The Golden Hawk with Sterling Hayden and Rhonda Fleming. And of course, in my subconscious, was already the swashbuckling feeling of all the great Errol Flynn epics which long ago saturated my mind with the idea to write a pirate tale in the first place! However, although my story has some “pirate” action, it is mostly concerned with the more libido-centered activities of my characters, which take place in a tavern called The Grasping Hand or in the captains’ cabins of Grace and Blackbeard.

So I hope you’ll check out the novella, available on Amazon Kindle worldwide. And visit Sardax’s site here for more about his fantastic art.

My erotic soul still lingers in the 18th century…

The writing of my new femdom erotic novella, set in the 18th century and which I mentioned in my last post, will soon come to its exciting climax…I mean, conclusion, at my desk. 😉  The tale has become much longer and more involved than I had originally anticipated, and I think I’ve just kept going because I am enjoying its twists and turns of character and setting; sensuality and poetry; and dialogue and humor. And also because it is inspired by a most lovely friend and it is going to have a sensational cover by a well-known artist of the genre.

More news when I complete and publish it! But until then, let me leave you with this fascinating article I found here, the first section of which is a description of the standards of ideal beauty in the Anglo/French and American society in the 18th century. The portrait of Marie Antoinette by Élisabeth Vigée Le Brun below is from the article, but does not represent my heroine–although by sheer coincidence (as I only just found this article and painting twenty minutes ago) their eyes do share a very similar arresting quality!

One thing I can say is: the real-life 21st century lady who has inspired my tale would well have met the exacting standards of the 18th. She has a timeless beauty herself and has a mystique that captivates a wide range of people, which is why I have her do exactly that in my story: captivate!

From Google:

But as you read the article I linked, keep in mind this observation quoted in it as well:

“Everyone will make what alteration his own taste may suggest,” which I take to mean, especially now in our far more democratic and equitable world: “to each his own.” Or her own.

Beauty, as we now acknowledge, is “multiform” and has many faces, figures, colors and shapes.

Well…my literary time machine (aka my Chromebook) is calling. The year 1718 beckons me back…

See you later!

Horny time travel via my Chromebook…

I don’t much like to talk about works in progress, only because I like to get them done first and relieve the nagging anxiety of, “Can I pull this one off?”; but I am working on an unusually complex erotic novella that I am excited about on a subject have wanted to write about for some years, and it takes place in the 18th century. It’s a combination of research and imagination and some other things and it’s going to have a sensational cover for the ebook, and I’m feeling a bit like I’m living three hundred plus years ago when I’m crouched over tapping away on the laptop. But the story also has roots in the present, which makes it even more intriguing and which will become self-evident when it’s published. Well, I’ll have more to say about it as it comes along.

Working on it makes me remember Leslie Howard going back to 1784 London in the haunting 1933 movie Berkeley Square. It was remade in 1951 with Tyrone Power as I’ll Never Forget You and that was sufficiently haunting as well…

I was particularly fascinated by the 18th century when I was a kid and I remember asking my mother, after we shopped for new school clothes at the department store Robert Hall on Devon Avenue in West Rogers Park in Chicago where I mostly grew up (after having started out on the West Side),  whether the fashions of the 18th century would ever come back. I think she said no. I just found them so much more interesting than the dull clothes we had to wear in grade school in 1959! 😉

Now I have to go listen to the theme song from the Swamp Fox on YouTube here, from that late ’50s Disney show about the Revolutionary War hero immortalized by the performance of the pre-comedic Leslie Nielsen!

Speaking of horny time travel, I did a blog in 2009 for several months called The Horny Time Traveler. It had some interesting posts. You can check it out here.

The pleasure of daydreams, the pain of life…

My newest ebook is part of my Specialty Library on Amazon here, which is made up of stories and novellas of other genres besides erotica. Having worked my entire adult life in porn, I am pretty aware of the wide chasm between alluring daydreams and the difficulties of real life. In this story, a man’s worship from afar of a pretty woman, who lives on the same floor as he does in his New York City apartment building, is interrupted by a terrible occurrence. He feels impotent to express his feelings but wants to rise above just living in his imagination as far as she is concerned. He wants to show his compassion instead of feeling only adoration. Can he do it? It is in fact something we all face: how to adequately express our emotions in the face of the terrible things life can throw at us.

Yes, it’s not my usual femdom erotica (at which I am still hard at work–see my previous post here!) but I hope you’ll read WHEN SHE BECAME REAL, available worldwide in the Amazon Kindle stores.

His mistress uses “humiliation shorthand” on him…

My newest erotica ebook–my 30th, in fact–has just been released. I’ve become fascinated by the kinky femdom humiliation potential of “pixelated porn” and this is the result. Why does “Mistress Deborah Dorayne” call it “humiliation shorthand”? Read the book and find out! Just peruse the free sample on Amazon and you’ll get a taste of what she’s talking about. She certainly teases her loyal slave in cutting edge style for 2023…

Available at Amazon Kindle stores worldwide, such as here! Enjoy!

Letting her slave see her bare assets would be one thing…but Mistress Deborah Dorayne goes one step further…not even letting her cuckold admirer see her heels, lingerie, dresses, or bikinis! What’s that all about?? But at least we can enjoy her in a cover shot here! 😉

Don’t miss CUCKOLD TEASED, GODDESS PLEASED!

The consequences of crime and love…

An accidental meeting with a past lover at NYC’s Dante Park in Lincoln Center stirs up intense emotions…if Alan keeps his mouth shut, maybe he can get laid, but can he stay quiet to Rebecca about the trauma of that night so long ago?

This is my newest ebook, just released a few days ago. It’s part of what I call my “Specialty Library,” meaning stories that are not erotica but delve into other genres such as ghost stories (Do You Remember Me, Lily?) or social/psychological fiction (The Night I Got Off Easy, When A Woman Scowls, and the newest Mugged by Love).

It’s hard to fight being typecast as a porn writer but that’s the price of being able to make a living as a freelancer for so many decades. Like Karloff or Lugosi in horror films, I’ve long been “typed” because of my proficiency with erotica. I’m not complaining, I love writing erotica/porn/smut, whatever you wanna call it; but it’s simply very hard to broaden people’s perception of my writing, although my porn has always had the kinds of social/psychological elements which I emphasize in my Specialty Library work. For example, several of the big-budget X-rated screenplays I wrote from the ’80s through the early 2000s, which garnered awards for actresses and industry award nominations for me, were realistic depictions of sexual and relationship situations (like the two Masseuse films I wrote for Vivid Entertainment, for example).

In any case, I’m proud of Mugged by Love and these other recent stories and hope you’ll give them a try. They’re available at Amazon on the Kindle stores worldwide, such as here

“A certified sleaze classic”–yes, I aim to please! ;)

In the middle of May 2023 I was interviewed for a very interesting podcast called Tales from the Mall. Host Brendan, who can be found on Twitter at @luso_brendan here, talks with and records his interviewees on a wide variety of topics over the phone or Zoom while he walks around various malls in Arizona, where he lives.

We had a fun two-hour-plus chat about many different subjects, focusing on my career in porn, how I got into it and so forth; erotic artists I’ve known and worked with like Sardax, with whom I recently collaborated on Tamara, Eternal Dominatrix; but also spending much time discussing film noir and noir fiction, touching especially on the recent novels of contemporary noir novelist Jay Cameron Parker; the summer I worked as an NBC page in NYC and briefly met Julie “Catwoman” Newmar backstage at NBC’s Tonight Show in the early ’70s Johnny Carson years; my constant strolling around New York City, going to BDSM dungeons and dominatrices, and lots more! It can be found on his Patreon account here

One tweeter described it as a “certified sleaze classic.” Sounds good to me! We certainly covered a lot of ground in the podcast, too, for those who like to leaven their sleaze with other ingredients, like film noir. 😉

It’s always nice to be called an “extraordinary genius writer” but I won’t let it go to my head. I hear something in my ear like what the guys said who stood behind the commanders when they marched triumphantly back into ancient Rome after successful campaigns doing what Romans did to everybody, conquering them:

“Remember, thou art only a man!”

In my case I also hear, as a late art director named Charley would proclaim when he saw me in the office to edit some of my “dirty” magazines:

“You little sleazeball!”

Thanks to Brendan for this opportunity to chat and, of course, to promote my femdom erotica on Kindle as well as my new “specialty library” of more psychological fiction and my noir novel Fate of a Stripper, all of which you can find here

This book takes you back to 1978 NYC and Times Square in all their sleazy allure!
Where will a conversation in a midtown Manhattan bar lead a dedicated bookworm and a feisty redhead who tempts and puzzles him in equal measure?
My noirish psychological suspense novel set in Times Square as it was right up to the pandemic...and one of the best things I’ve ever written.

Update on my freelance writing job search…

If you read my previous blog post last night/this morning here you know I’m looking around for more freelance writing work. Things have gotten unusually rugged for me and I need more jobs soon, and ones that pay a reasonable, livable rate (see the linked post for more details of what I mean).

Happily someone came through with a potential project and a helpful advance! 🙂  But I can’t rest until I find more.

Would really love to write clip series for Dommes around a central storyline or theme…like five interrelated clips.

I have loads of ideas for columns about femdom themes…

Writing private erotica, stories just for the buyers who commission them, is always a creative pleasure.

And of course doing ebooks for Dommes, fictional stories that spotlight their personalities and preferences, which they can sell for themselves online via Amazon or other platforms, is something I really want to explore. For example, have you as a Domina ever imagined ruling slaves on another planet…or another dimension…or in another era? I can write a story about those types of things, or any others, which you can sell under your brand. Or if you’re a submissive I can write a story to order for you which you can present to your Domina as a gift.

So many ideas…but tell me what you need!

My Twitter  is here. My portfolio, with my email address near the bottom, is here.

A post I put up on an adult industry forum…click on the image to expand it.
